Improving Lives, One Smile at a Time
I have always revered the practice of orthodontics. The ability of an orthodontist to improve a patient’s smile — and transform their life while doing so — has always astounded me. I respect the hard work and dedication required to become an orthodontist and have never lost sight of the need to continually expand my knowledge.
Becoming an orthodontist was the best decision I ever made; it’s the perfect fit for my natural skills and desire to help others. Thanks to the mentorship and guidance of my childhood orthodontist, Dr. Greenlees, I knew this was the profession for me when I was seven. He and I developed a relationship spanning more than 40 years, resulting in our practicing orthodontics together for six years before he retired.
Each patient enriches my life. Their unique personalities and acts of kindness are rewarding: I find satisfaction knowing that orthodontics allows me to make lasting, positive changes for people I care about. I relish our interaction and conversations, no matter what we’re talking about. I learn so much!
We have an amazing group of people at Bruno Orthodontics. Each person happily goes the extra mile to ensure our patients are smiling while achieving their new smiles! Our team is composed of compassionate, kind-hearted “moms” who want the best for each patient, like they do for their own children. Every team member takes a vested interest in each patient during care and this often extends after we’re finished. We create smiles — and friendships — for life!
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Arts – Albion College
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Michigan School of Dentistry
- Certificate of Orthodontics and Master of Science – University of Detroit Mercy
Continuing education enables me to grow as an orthodontist. Integrating new technologies and using advanced techniques means more affordable, effective, and successful results for my patients. Constantly learning is fun; it’s also a necessary component to staying informed of the best options.
Each year my team and I complete many courses and attend conferences, lectures, and hands-on instruction. My interests include advanced orthodontic technology, newly discovered techniques, interceptive (early) orthodontic treatment, aesthetics, and multi-disciplinary approaches.

Beyond the Office
I was born and raised in Rochester Hills and graduated from Rochester High School. Rochester is now home to my family and me. My beautiful wife Kate and I have two incredible children: Gracie is in her early teens and loves basketball, track, and dance. Domenic is a pre-teen and loves all things sports.
Our family also includes our Lhasa-poo, Lulu, who’s quite a character. She has her own Facebook page with many followers ... of many species!
Away from the office, I spend most of my time bouncing between my children’s school and sporting events. Personally, I’m a gearhead who loves all things cars. I also like working out, sports, music and reading, travel, and the arts.
Some things you might want to know about me: I’m a dog lover, I like plaid shirts, and I could happily eat pizza every day!
